Borrowed Life: A Brand with Purpose

Baltimore, Md. — The saying goes that we live on borrowed time, but no one knows this better than Mia Inocencio, who in 2007 was struck by a moving commuter train while heading to work. With the support of her family after going through a partial foot amputation and the Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore's help, she was able to establish a new business. 

In 2011 Borrowed Life was established to spread inspirational life awareness to individuals going through a life-changing incident. "Borrowed Life signifies that life is finite, and it is a precious gift," says Mia Inocencio. Her company provides inspirational apparel, accessories, and mugs made in the United States and sold on her e-commerce site.  

Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Borrowed Life has donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to front-line workers.
