Pollo Peru Takes Food Safety as Serious as their Charbroiled Chicken

Reston, Va. — Pollo Peru is a family-run restaurant in Reston that believes that the health of its customers and team members is vital, and they have implemented new safe food handling practices during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

“Pollo Peru has taken the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously and has implemented new processes and procedures as preventive measures to minimize any possibilities of contagion.” This includes using gloves while handling food, frequently washing our hands, and disinfecting high traffic areas every hour, such as door handles, ordering stations, and other surfaces. 

They have also changed the way they conduct everyday business by implementing new curbside procedures for pickup orders, redesigned their online ordering site, added additional support for telephone orders,  redesigned the dining and lobby customer area to ensure customers are 6 feet apart while waiting to pick up their order.

Their Herndon location will remain temporarily closed.
